In 1997, Assistance League of Downey built the Housing of Medical Emergencies (H.O.M.E.) facility — a 10-unit apartment complex adjacent to Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center.
The complex provides temporary, low-cost housing to families who have loved ones in rehabilitation care. A manager lives on the premises, and chapter members volunteer in the office on weekdays.
Rate: $20/night plus a non-refundable $30 cleaning fee.
